The problem with this type of linking is that they add no relevance to the content of your site. If the reader wanted to know about red widgets or online casinos, they would search specifically for those on their favorite search engine.

As google, yahoo, MSN etc become more sophisticated with their software, they actively down grade sites who have generated links of this nature.

If you feel that you must use these types of links on your site, please use the rel="nofollow" tag. This will stop the search engines from following these links, and down grading your site.
